Marco Bardus

Marco Bardus is a Post-doctoral Researcher in the BeCHANGE Research Group, Institute for Public Communication (ICP), Università della Svizzera italiana. Marco obtained his PhD in Communication Sciences in 2012, under the supervision of Prof. L. Suzanne Suggs. His dissertation investigated the effects of Theory of Planned Behavior based e-mail and SMS communication on physical activity in workplaces. His work combines his passion for real world innovative applications with his interest in scientific research in health communication. Marco is interested in new technologies, and in particular, in fitness-related tracking and monitoring devices and applications. In addition to research activities in the BeCHANGE group, he was a teaching assistant for the master’s level Social Marketing Course, taught by Prof. Suggs, and is a member of the European Social Marketing Association. Marco also holds a position in the European Journal Observatory, working with Prof. Dr. Stephan Russ-Mohl and Prof. Dr. Vinzenz Wyss, from Zuercher Fachhochschule fuer Angewandte Wissenschaften (ZHAW).
