The activities of the BeCHANGE Research Group are interdisciplinary and combine approaches from behavioral sciences, communication sciences and social marketing in the area of public communication.
The common factor of much of the research is the use of information and communication technologies for behavior change communication. The research group studies the effects of communication on behavior and on modifiable factors that determine behavior. From a scientific point of view, our work aim to apply and test theories of behavior change in various settings and contexts. From a practical point of view, our work aims to improve people’s health, through primary and secondary prevention.
The BeCHANGE Research Group develops, carries out and evaluates research that promotes lifestyle and self-management behaviors in the context of public health and sustainability communication at local and international levels.
