Full title: Active8! Text messaging to promote physical activity in an NHS workplace

Aims: To examine the effects of communication channels (e-mail and SMS), using tailored TPB-guided messages of 160 characters, on physical activity behavior, quality of life, and social-cognitive factors of health professionals.

Sample: Health Professionals at the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust

Methods: Randomized Controlled Trial. Qualitative and quantitative surveys. Assessments were conducted pre, post and 1 month post receiving communication.
